Kansas Certified Peer Mentors employed by Sims-Kemper help clients establish safety and connect to community resources for healthy living. This includes assistance with bridging the gap between treatment and 12-Step groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Gamblers Anonymous.
Testing for substances is a therapeutic tool used randomly during the course of treatment to assist in maintaining continuous sobriety and clean time.
Help is provided to connect clients with resources to address: Legal problems, housing, education, employment, finances, family life, social support, and medical and mental health.
